Another first time for me. I was intending to head to Saigon Star for lunch but by chance my parking spot lands me right in front of Mama Bear. My friends and I take a peak in and it was pretty busy and since we have never been here, why not.
We get an assortment of appetizers. Pickled cabbage, stinky tofu, sticky rice, tripe, and tea eggs. All well seasoned and well prepared. I end up getting the beef and tendon noodle soup. Excellent broth, great flavour not over seasoned or too oily. The beef was tender and the tendon was melt in your mouth goodness.
The service was a tad slow for an Asian restaurant but it was quite busy so I guess I can't fault them for that. There were quite a few things on the menu. So I will be back to try some more. Excellent find, who knew a parking spot would be so important? Lol.
