I have not stayed at the Venetian - so I'm reviewing it merely as a "place to see" on your Vegas itinerary.
For a couple of reasons, I think it deserves a spot on your "must do" list.
1. The Gondola rides... pricey and short and touristy to be sure. But fun for kids (older kids!), a nice seated respite when all the walking becomes too much, and can also be a little romantic if that's the goal of your Vegas trip. I recommend doing it at least once.
2. The inside artwork... I know, who comes to Vegas to see art? I do! Currently they are featuring two great art installations: "Another Sky" and "LOVE"... both worth seeing. And both free. And very "insta worthy" for those of you that do that sort of thing. Or just to look at and enjoy. I recommend putting the cell phone camera down and trying that!
So for a little cult-ah on the Strip, the Venetian is a well worth it stop.
