I happened to catch Diners, Drive ins and dives on Food Network the other evening and they featured Osaka Japanese Bistro. Being new to Vegas, we depend on Yelp for restaurant recommendations. Naturally, I pulled Osaka on Yelp and the reviews were not bad so my husband and decided to eat here on Sunday. It was around 1:30 when we pulled up and we were able to find a parking space. Warning, the parking lot is very small. We opened the door and literally hit a wall. You can either go right or left to enter the restaurant but there was no sign on why there were 2 different entrances. Odd but we decided to make a right and enter another set of doors. You run into a dining room with a sushi bar on the right. I'm assuming the hostess station is in the middle of the restaurant but not sure. Just a very strange layout for first timers. We sat at a table and waited for our waiter. After 10 minutes, our waiter asked if anyone has taken our drink order which we replied no. He promptly took our drink order while we viewed the menu. We took advantage of the lunch menu and their special. From the lunch menu we ordered: Kamikaze and Tiger rolls in addition to beef yakisoba. From the daily special menu we ordered the King Crab roll. The rolls were ok. On both the Kamikaze and Tiger the sauce was very salty. Yakisoba was very good. The beef was really tender. The king crab roll was nothing special. Overall. Glad we tried it but will try other sushi restaurants.
