I ordered a little over 500 sq ft of carpet from Express Flooring and the experience has been an absolute nightmare. I have a small house and you'd figure that ordering 500 sq ft of carpet would be an easy job....but after failing to call me back, show up, and promised 3 separate days to install and never happen...this is the epitome of poor service. In fact, after doing some research (which I definitely learned my lesson on) it looks like the BBB dropped this business. So here's the story:
After meeting with the Salesperson...who was very nice, we ordered carpet for our living room and 2nd bedroom. The price was $2700...then they started adding discounts galore..and the price ended up being $1,100. I didn't think it was that bad of a price so we paid via credit card and they said delivery would take 7 days. Since the carpet wasn't in stock they couldn't do next day install. The sales person only brought a limited amount of samples so I felt a little cheated on not getting the full range of carpets.
The carpet install was scheduled for Friday morning...they didn't show up until 4:45pm. I personally had to move all of my furniture out of the rooms. The installers looked sketchy at best. They said they were bonded, but I find it hard to believe considering the one didn't speak English AT ALL and the other one spoke broken English. Eh, didn't really matter THAT much to me as long as they got the job done quickly and did a good job. They took 3 HOURS to install carpet into my living room..and then tell me they ran out of carpet and would be back tomorrow morning. WHAT? They left....and I had a bedroom all torn up....and furniture EVERYWHERE.
The next morning I receive a call from the Install Manager saying they didn't have the carpet in stock and that it will be installed the following Wednesday. I was pissed. He said the Customer Service Manager would be calling me to confirm on Monday. I had to them move all of my furniture MYSELF back into the rooms. The 2nd bedroom was now down to the concrete slab since they removed all of the carpet.
Monday rolls around and I never receive a call. Tuesday rolls around and they do not call. Tuesday afternoon I attempt to call the customer service line to see if the carpet would be coming Wednesday. All the lines were busy. I kept calling and nothing but a busy signal. I called our sales representative and got voice mail FINALLY, LATE Tuesday night the sales rep calls us to let us know that the Install Manager would be calling us. NOTHING....no call. At this point I didn't know if I should move furniture or not.
Wednesday morning at 8am I get a call from the Install Manager....apparently the carpet wasn't "on the truck" and that it wouldn't be until FRIDAY that the carpet would be installed. Mind you I took a day off work because I thought we'd have carpet installed. Nope. He said that I would be receiving a call the following day to confirm the install. AND that I would be "FIRST in line" to have my carpet installed Friday Morning. Mind you this whole time my house it torn up and looks like hell because they ripped all the carpet out to the concrete slab.
Thursday...no call.
Friday, I called in at 7:45am to the Customer Service Line. They said the carpet was in and that the installers would be there between 8am and 10am. Wait, didn't they say they would be here first thing in the morning TO FINISH THE JOB!?!?!?
It's now 10:05am and they are still not here. Another day off work.
And to make it worse we are not getting any money back, no partial refund, no credit...NOTHING. THESE PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE.
I cannot believe that ANY company would be this bad....not fulfilling promises...lying....and not trying to correct this situation AT ALL.
Also, why is there 3 Express Floorings on Yelp?
Now every time I see that Express Flooring Lady I want to throw something at the TV.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
