To: Ashford Manor Recently I applied for and was approved to rent an apartment unit at 2320 Tucumcari Dr. Las Vegas, NV 89108. After working with the manager of the property, Loirra, we had agreed that the unit would be available for move in on Sunday September 18, 2016. As we agreed that the unit would be available I proceeded with my preparations of moving out of my previous apartment. I rented a truck to load and move all of my household goods to this new unit at Tucumcari Dr. When I arrived I was told by Loirra that the unit would not be available as we agreed, and she offered to allow me to stay in a vacant 1 bedroom apartment for the night. Due to my situation of already moving from my previous residence I had no choice but to accept these circumstances. The following day my agreed upon unit #2048 was still not ready for my move-in and the 1 bedroom apartment I stayed in the previous night now had no electricity so I had to move to a different 2 bedroom apartment so I would at least have electricity. Due to these circumstances I had spoken to Loirra and we had agreed that I would be reimbursed for the cost of my moving truck, and meals and incidentals thru Wednesday September 21, 2016 as a partial compensation as well as writing my lease terms for 6 months and still providing me with the 200.00 discount and not charging me any rent for the prorated amount for the remaining days in September and that any amounts paid for September would be credit towards my November rent payment. As of today, 28 September 28, 2016, I have still not received my reimbursement funds from this property (and the agreed reimbursement was not going to be a rent credit but actually a cash payment to me directly) and Loirra is delaying having the 6 month lease paperwork drawn up. Also, I have been harassed by other residents of the complex with rude comments, as well as I have been disturbed on multiple occasions already due to law enforcement situations on the property very near to my apartment. When I was finally able to move in to my new unit , I found that the cabinets were not cleaned, the kitchen and appliances were not clean and there were a lot of cockroaches (they are still present today) and I have pictures of these issues if needed. I am very frustrated and with this process and am very disappointed with the level of customer service and cooperation I have received from the property manager Loirra.
At this time, I would like to discuss this matter with you personally or via telephone in order to come to a resolution to the current state of affairs. My proposal to you is that I am reimbursed my expenses for the days of significant inconvenience that the property was not move-in ready as we had agreed. I also would like to have all funds reimbursed for the amounts of rent that I have currently paid and I will vacate the premises on our agreed upon date so all parties can move on from this disappointing series of events.
