  • I received a flyer which read that the first month is free and zero enrollment so long you enroll by end of month. Much like the offer you can see on their website at this time. As an attorney I always know that you have to read the fine print as there are going to be additional costs, but I was a bit shocked when I was actually charged for the first month. I didn't really mind as we were mid-month, thus it wasn't that much. Yet, the fact that it was a bold face bait and switch didn't sit too well. Plus, I really don't see why the person enrolling me is raving about another club location and how great the OTHER club location is. The equipment is ok at best, the cardio area is well kept. I only used the treadmill and elliptical, its a hit or miss at times. You can end up on a treadmill that sounds like its about to fall apart or where the display is malfunctioning. The ellipticals are ok but some need "upkeep." The weight area is not so good. I realize that there will be days when you have to change your routine or substitute exercises in your routine for another but not every single time you go to the gym. I haven't been here too long, in fact not even a month to realize that this place is just not worth it. Yet, there hasn't been a single day since I've been here where I don't have to change out my workouts and worse I have never been able to finish my workouts. It's not motivating to have to wander around looking for machines, weights, exercises for substitutes, I've even switched out my day (so instead of upper body I go and do lower body ) and still no good. I got a free personal training session with a trainer, I realize its free so not expecting much (again). But I would never tell a client to wait for an appointment they booked. I would be at the location where a client would expect me to be. I go to the personal training station and no one is there. Another trainer shows up but he's with another client, so thus not the trainer who is scheduled with me. I decide to go warm up on the treadmill for 3 mins. and return, still no trainer. I stretch out by the personal training station (the stretch out area is next to the personal training station) and no one shows up. I ask the front desk for the individual that I have the appointment with and they point to the guy sitting at "members services" not at the personal training station. Okay, no biggie, I walk over and the guy is on the phone and holds up a finger telling me to wait. It just becomes annoying at this point. I decide to just go work out, I have a lower body day to complete (though not fully, as mentioned). I would think the trainer would have gone and checked up on me, maybe ask to reschedule or even go spot me but nope. The staff- some of the kids are nice. At first I thought they were really rude because no one would ever say hello when I'd walk in, they just scanned the card with no greeting. But later others actually did greet me, said hello and good bye. But I do see why some people on here say that the staff is unfriendly, sometimes you can just tell that some of the staff doesn't want to be there. They seem annoyed and come off a bit short with people. At the end, I ended up cancelling my membership before the first month was up, that way I only have to be charge and additional month. I paid 90 something for half a month and a full month, which sounds like others on here have paid as well. So not sure how the advertised sale works. I would not recommend this gym for people who are serious about working out and keeping up with their fitness or starting to get fit. I have been to various gyms around the country and since returning to my home state of Arizona about 3 months ago, it pains me to say that I have never been to a worse gym in my lifetime of fitness.
