  • Nothing too Grand about this Sheraton. Stayed for 4 nights in Oct '17. Rather dreary rooms, completely uninspired and blah. (we had a one bedroom suite on the top floor). Perfectly adequate as a convention hotel. On a positive note, the AC was ice-cold and the bathroom ventilation was top notch. The food was below par (except for great desserts). The Club Lounge on 28 is very small for a hotel this size. It's actually two hotel rooms combined to make a lounge. It was so overcrowded that I was given coupons to go down to the main restaurant to eat breakfast...a nice option. Evening appetizers were standard pastry puffs and coconut chicken fingers, etc...the type of apps that can do some serious damage to your diet. On a positive note, the girls working the lounge were very nice. Question - why does the hotel insist on putting red and green peppers in the scrambled eggs? Yuk. The silver lining of my stay was the hotel pastry chef/chocolatier. He/she is a real pro. Excellent red velvet cake, excellent butter(?)cake, and wonderful chocolates that were sent up as a welcome gift (see photo). Above average hotel gym. The nearby Westin is another property to consider. It's much newer with modern stylish design and massive floor-to-ceiling windows. Sorry Sheraton, but I would stay at the Westin if I had a choice.
