  • It makes perfect sense that my 100th review goes to TenPoint5, as it is my new obsession. I couldn't imagine sharing this milestone with anyone else! Okay, let's start with a little backstory. I have been trying to get back into fighting shape for around a year now. Before TenPoint5, I tried running, Jillian Michael's Body Revolution and other various cardio methods. I learned I was the world's worst runner with the world's tiniest lungs, and all Jillian Michael's did for me was pack on a bunch of bulky muscle that was not cute. It also busted up my knees, feet and ankles with all of the jumping. Nothing actually burned the fat off my body that I was looking to do. I had done barre classes a hundred years ago with Amber W. and we both loved them so I figured what the hell, we'll try this one again. Barre is a zero impact exercise that centers around teeny tiny movements intended to isolate and workout your muscles. Each class begins with a weight series for your arms, then moves into a section for thighs followed by glutes and then finally abs. There is intermittent stretching between each section. As I'm sure every other review says, the instructors are fantastic. They are super helpful without making you feel like an idiot, they push you to places you didn't know your body could go to and they encourage you to "Go Beyond" throughout class. And the loud pop music playing throughout is a welcome distraction! Full disclosure, it took me a solid 3 months before I felt like I could actually make it through an entire class respectably. This shit is HARD. I finally get to a point where I feel comfortable with my performance, my muscles are starting to get long and lean as promised, and I've built up a nice juicy booty I've never before had in my life. And then they release Biker Barre to knock me on my ass once more. I have never both loved and hated something equally as I do with Biker Barre. Half the class is traditional barre and half the class is spin. It is brutally challenging and freaking amazing. I was pleased with the way my body was changing before and Biker Barre has seriously ramped up my results. That added kick of cardio in addition to barre is doing work on my body and I couldn't be happier. I feel so fortunate to have found the fabulousness that is TenPoint5. Sarah, Christa, Bebo, Priscilla, Ashley and JoAnne bring the heat every single class. If you're looking for that long, lean, toned physique, look no further. You've found it at TenPoint5!
