  • STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!! About two weeks ago I our AC unit stopped working. I searched Google for some answers and if I could fix the problem. I found a temporary solution that got us through the night. The next morning I called and had a technician from this company come out to look at my unit. When he arrived we chatted and I told him what was going on and had him take a look at the unit. He finished looking at the unit and then came back and quoted me ~$1300 to fix the unit. I asked him if the repairs were worth the money or if we should look into getting a new unit and all he kept saying was that they have a warranty so if we weren't happy we could apply the money towards a new unit. I should have realized that this was a company I should not be doing business with at that moment, but alas I told him to do the work. He got on the house and proceeded to "fix" the unit. When he was done he got down and told me that we needed a new unit and he had his sales person on his way. He charged us for the work that he did and left. The sales person came about 30 minutes later and wrote out a quote for us on the products that they had. Their basic unit started at ~$10000 with a warranty of only 5 years on the parts and 1 year on the labor. He tried to sell me on a fancier unit that was upwards of $15000. He told me that we had 24 hours to make a decision about it so that we would not loose the money from our first transaction. I knew that they were TRYING TO RIP US OFF so I told him that I would call him before the 24 hours were up. I went searching around and ended up finding a company by the trademark "Frank The AC Guy" (Frank is wonderful please give him your business!!!). He was out to our house to give us a quote within 30 minutes. He gave us a quote for a nice energy efficient unit, a return and a thermostat at around ~$6000 and he gave us a 10 yrs parts/ 10 yrs labor manufacturer's warranty. He also offered to examine this companies work to see if they actually did everything they said they did. After he was done he told me that they did not clean the coils of the old unit like we were charged for. He also told me that the company should have told us before completing any work that we needed a new unit, so basically this company was trying to ENTRAP us into buying a really expensive AC unit so we wouldn't loose our initial money. The next day, I called the general manager before my 24 hours were up. I told him that I had another technician out and what he said. I told him wanted the parts removed and a full refund. He agreed and had the technician that came out for the first repair come and remove the parts. When the technician arrived he did not knock on the door he just hopped on our roof and started working (I classify this as TRESPASSING), but that's besides the point. I went outside to see what was going on and he started HARASSING me about my decision to get a refund. He made comments about my religion, and harassed me for my documentation and for information about the new company I was now doing business with. I wasn't going to say anything about this visit to the general manager until I found out the next day from Frank that the technician STOLE extra parts. I told the general manager that I wanted the parts back or compensation for them. I also wanted another technician to drop off the parts seeing as the first one was so rude. Eventually we got our parts and money back, but this company is completely unethical. I have all the documentation, pictures, and communications to prove this. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!!
