  • Hired Almada to do two tile roofs. Problems arose getting him to schedule job. Wouldn't return calls or texts until I got upset and questioning if he would ever come out! From promised start date, which he never showed or called to cancel, it took 21 DAYS TO COMPLETE. I had to beg him to get men out to work our roof. Constant no shows- no call days. We paid $300 upfront-deposits on each home. We then paid $2000 on first start-day. He then wouldn't work for several days, then show one more day and not for many more. Most days only 2 men would work, until the last, then he would work 4-5 men and complete the jobs, and get the last payment. Second home was the worst. He would work about one day a week, two men. Thus the six weeks. They mostly worked 3-4 hrs, with more hours on last couple days. My roof leaked after he completed it. I called and reported it. Another very hard time getting him to fix "his" caused leak. Had to threaten him with going to Contractors Licensing Board. Finally he fixed leak. Now I have to fix damaged Sheetrock in garage. His previous five star reviews were done when he FIRST started roofing. Good price if you don't mind waiting forever to get done.
