After exploring downtown Madison a bit, my family got the munchies so we decided to stop in! The interior is so cute and I loved it! Very welcoming and gives off UKesque vibes. Since it is located right near the capitol, the views are gorgeous.
Our waitress was very attentive and made sure that we were satisfied throughout the whole meal. My mom ordered a beer flight from a recommendation and it was really good. All of the beers were different which made it fun to taste all of them.
For food, we ordered: cheese curds, fries, tomato and red pepper soup and a big soft pretzel. The cheese curds were beer battered and so yummy. I tried to get them wherever we went because of Wisconsin but these stood out in my mind as some of the best! They came with a ranch that was homemade and very delicious. The fries were also good and they were served with some aioli that was tasty! I was really excited for the soup but it had a really strange taste so I was not a huge fan. Finally, the pretzel which was really good. It was served warm with a mustard sauce and a cheese sauce. Personally, I was not a fan of the mustard but the cheese sauce was great!
All in all, Cooper's Tavern is a fun place to stop in for some drinks and appetizers. It has a nice atmosphere, good views, and an attentive waitstaff.
