This place sells overpriced pastries and sandwiches to hungry commuters inside Union Station. I've eaten from here more than a few times, and, at best, my experience has been okay.
I have gotten sick from eating their spinach and mushroom pie, and I still don't know what that white giggly stuff was--cheese? egg?--but it didn't taste good.
A simple boxed spinach salad costs $7 from here, and a slice of pizza is +$6. It'd be worth it if it was good. I ate here before I knew about the Bagel Shop tucked into the corner after the newsstand shop.
At Michel's, they usually have a nice basket with a few baguettes poking out; so you might feel some nostalgia ... if you're french. Instead of buying into it, walk over to the bagel shop and pick from a ridiculously wide variety of cream cheese for your bagel. It's cheaper, better tasting, and isn't making fun of French breakfast with so-so croissants.
Their debit machine also broke down once when I was trying to pay, and the general attitude seemed to be that it was my fault.
