The pros: my room was $20 a night and one night was free.
The cons:everything else. I arrived last Sunday at around 5 or 6pm and the line was all the way back to the front door of the hotel. I am not exaggerating. I've never in my life seen a line that long to check into a hotel. That's ridiculous and unacceptable. And to make matters worse, they don't have any mobile check in or check in kiosk, like every other modern hotel on the strip.
So I ended up having to wait around until about 11pm before the line was short enough to wait in. And because of this stupid paid parking thing at MGM hotels, I was basically held hostage there because I would have to pay twice if I wanted to move my car and come back later.
By the time I got in line it was less than half as long as it was earlier and I still had to wait in line for 40ish minutes. To make matters worse the lady at the front desk was rude and just rushed me in and out. I also found out I had to come back and check in again the next day because I had multiple reservations. When I told the lady at the front desk about the ridiculous lines her reply was only "oh well I have to be here for 12 hours!" which she repeated multiple times during our conversation. Do I look like I care how long you have to be here? No. That's your job, you're getting paid to do it; don't whine to customers about it.
Aside from that, the internet didn't work well. The room could've been cleaner. The pillows couldve been changed. And it would've been nice if the resort fees didn't cost more than the room itself. Why the heck does this two-star hotel charge $30 a night in resort fees? It should be half that. And then they rent out space in their casino/lobby to time share people who harrass the guests. That's just tacky.
I've stayed at this hotel probably 5 times over the last couple years and generally my stay is fine but the service was so deplorable this time that I will NOT be back. It's worth spending a little extra for a hotel that actually cares about it's clientele.
