  • Built in 1870, this incline is the oldest of the two remaining, it's also the steepest, running on a forty-five degree angle. Owned and operated by the port authority, the "Mon" Incline is used regularly by Mt Washingtonians to get to work, school, and to get to Station Square. Tourists also love the ride, taking rides up from the South Side to Grandview Ave. and enjoying the view.
