I frequent Ramen Sora for my ramen fix but decided to try Fukumimi Ramen for Saturday lunch. They were rated the best ramen place on Las Vegas Japan Times and I can see why this place is rated #1 in Vegas.
SERVICE
Attentive and quick. Water was filled the entire time and short wait time! 2 thumbs up.
FOOD
I got their Kogashi Ramen. It's one of their Tonkotsu soup base option and is topped with fragrant garlic oil/fried onion. Broth was all black like squid ink and oh em gee...I loved it. Broth was extremely hot (just the way I like it in the cold weather), super flavorful and I loved their thin noodle. Chashu was next level...so tender. One slice of chashu kept me wanting more. They got everything on point.
I also got their Soboro Bowl. Soboro wasn't flaky/dry like other places. The sweet sauce from soboro went perfectly with their white rice. I got their mini size but it was still a good portion.
CONCLUSION
Their tonkotsu is flavorful and assari/light. I don't know why Monta is so popular, Fukumimi is much better in my opinion.
