| - We arrived in Montreal in early morning, ate poutine for breakfast, and couldn't wait to schlep over to the market to stock our fridge. SO MUCH PRODUCE. It all looks amazing! Choosing was no easy feat. We got some tacos, pastel de natas, and americanos for lunch, all from different places. We bought some delicious stone fruit, fresh squeezed orange-mango juice, and gravlax (knowing we'd be buying bagels) to bring home. Everything we bought was so good, and I regret not buying more produce.
Walking around, listening to all the French, it was here I realized Montreal isn't exactly a tourist city. Locals are just doing their shopping here. This isn't where you send tourists, this is where you buy all your food. Awesome!
Bring cash, and lots of it. Just like the rest of Montreal, cards not accepted.
