| - To preface, I'll tell you that I print a lot of things on the go. I've been to a multitude of venues to do this over the last decade: public libraries, FedEx, Staples, Office Depot, UPS stores, local mom & pops, kinkos before fedex bought them, kwik kopy, ad. nauseam.... quite literally coast to coast as I'm originally from California. Maybe I'm missing something, but ever since stores made it functional to email them documents and print I've only had two tell me there was a charge for emailing it to them. I'm sorry, you mean to tell me you want to charge me $5 for the 30 seconds it takes your $8/hr employee to pull up my document and print it... and then charge me even more for the actual prints. I love my local UPS store, they know be by name and I give them a lot of business, so maybe they have this and just don't tell me. I find it crazy though to add frivolous mark-ups for no value. Charge me more than it costs for paper and ink on my home printer? Fine- I get it, you have printer maintenance, employees to pay, etc. $5 to retrieve an email though, I personally think that's a reach.
