| - Note: I was here for brunch. My complaint would be the limited and somewhat standard options, partially limited with an attempt to be true to the Italian theme of the casino. There are a few nice touches, but not to the level one expects of Bellagio. One does expect high quality from Bellagio, and the food, for a buffet, is that. At times, you can almost forget it's buffet food. The real standouts are the desserts. I normally don't eat buffet desserts. They aren't worth the calories, often bad in taste and texture. However, at the Bellagio, it's worth saving room. The chocolate dome was very good. The key lime pie was good. My complaint would be that they don't have gelato (many other buffets now).
Overall, it's one of the better buffets. It kills Mirage which is mediocre, IMHO. However, it's still buffet food. And it's pricy. If you're filling up on an omelet, at over $30, that's a pricy egg omelet.
It's a tough score. The food is 4 stars (for buffets), but the price and options is 3 stars. Service was good (which, for me, is normal). I'll lean towards a score of 4 bearing in mind the comparison is to other buffets in town -- not other restaurants.
