I remember why I don't typically have someone wax my body for me. I got the extended bikini wax. Now, thinking of that description, one would think that the bikini line (what is exposed in a bikini) would be waxed just beyond that (maybe a cleaning on top and an inch inwards). My waxer was really sweet, and didn't force conversation but she also talked enough that it wasn't silent awkwardness. Well, I felt the pain of the waxing and I figured she was taking off maybe two inches, a little more, but I got home and looked.... I'm essentially as bald as the day I was born, which is NOT the look I'm used to, as she really should have noticed cause she mentioned I wasn't a regular waxer. I guess I should have made it clear, but it's been 6 years since my last wax so I thought what I booked it what I would get....
I am also really upset that I got home and the part I NEEDED waxed (the bikini line) still had hair that wasn't removed. So after paying $40 plus tip, I had to take the tweezers to myself. I will just continue to buy the in-store waxing kits and do it myself.
Pros:
-Lovely spa interior and exterior.
-Lovely front desk employees.
-Friendly waxer.
-Clean room.
Cons:
-Little communication (yes myself included) which resulted in a me being bald - this lady likes her bush.
-Feeling like it was a rushed experience where it was uneven and lots of hairs were left behind.
-Experience was not worth the price.
And that's why it get's two stars from me. Friendliness and cleanliness cannot redeem the fact that I will feel uncomfortable looking at myself naked for the next few weeks.
