  • After spending a whole year thinking Matt's Big Breakfasts logo was too similar to Whataburgers to be coincidence, I finally decided to go out on a limb and check it out. Turns out, the decor is cute and simple...sort of farm house-y. Definitely not what I was expecting! I came around 10am by myself since it was a pit stop before Safeway. The place is always packed, and this morning was no exception. Thankfully, there were some seats at the "bar" - perfect for solo diners. It took exactly 14 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me, and I only point that out because everyone else around me got greeted etc. almost immediately. I got my order in - the waffle with bacon - and it came out in a flash. I can definitely tell that everything here is fast fast fast. Their menu is not painfully extensive, and they cover the basics and have a sprinkle of unique dishes. Everything looked pretty food, and I would consider coming back to try something else. My actual meal was delicious. I wouldn't go all out and say it was the best waffle ever, but it was pretty darn up there. The portion was pretty spot on. Looking around, I'd say that everyone else had plenty of food on their plates. Their bacon is thick cut, peppery, crispy on the edges, perfectly fatty, aaaand I need to stop because my mouth is watering. Overall, food was good, and the prices are reasonable. I would also note that they don't have alcohol (if that's a concern).
