  • It's pretty apparent that staff has not been appropriately trained, and that Apple is so successful that they just really don't care if you have a bad experience. I bought a new iMac and asked if they could transfer the contents from my old iMac. it is almost 7 years old. I bought it from this store. Despite me telling them that it was seven years old several times they told me they could transfer my info. I drag my old iMac in to the store and they say it will take between 24 and 72 hours. 4 days later I still haven't heard from them. I call them up and they inform that since my iMac is over 4 years old that the operating systems are not compatible, and they can't do the transfer. I ask why they didn't tell me that before. The associate (I'm assuming a "genius") tells me that she didn't know about that and I can't expect them to know everything. Of course, the next 3 associates and manager I spoke with all knew this. I also asked why they didn't call and tell me that it could't be done and that I should pick up my old iMac and new iMac that I have already paid for. I ask her to refund me for the $99 in one-to-one service since they can't complete the task. She says she has done so. She proceeds to wish me a good day and hang up on me. I go to the store to pick up my computers. They tell there is an over 2 hour wait to get my computers that I have already paid for. After explaining why I wasn't going to wait 2 hours, a very surly associate brings our my computers. I then find out that they have not reversed the one-to-one service fee. A manager comes and feeds me platitudes why exuding an attitude that pure go eff yourself. They have the best products so there is not much you can do. If any one becomes a serious competitor to Apple I will definitely be one of their first converts. To top it off, I get it home and find out that they did not exchange my mouse for the hand scribe like they promised.
