| - Pastor Randall is a wonderful Man of God. He appears to genuinely care for his flock and worries about what will happen to them. If it were JUST him, I'd leave a 5 star review, no problem.
But it's not JUST him... He has an associate pastor, Pastor Bob. Pastor Bob isn't a Man of God; he just pretends to be. He spews anger and hatred towards his fellow man, acting like he himself is without sin, and everyone else is evil incarnate. I've heard him speak poorly about his own family on Sunday, and watched as he behaved in a manner unbecoming of a Man of God, let alone a pastor.
When I shared my discernment and disapproval with a few of my closest church friends, I was told stories of numerous instances over the years where he and his late wife stole from the church and it's congregation, disguising their theft as 'helping the poor' and 'donations' to his late wife's organ transplant. These 'transplant donations' and 'donations to the church' disappeared and magically reappeared in Pastor Bob's own pockets.
Anyone who crosses Pastor Bob and his family are immediately shunned and forced to leave the church, including his own blood. This time a few years ago, during one of Pastor Bob's sermons, a woman bravely stood up and rebuked Pastor Bob and his unChrist-like behaviors, and she was laughed at by Pastor Bob from the pulpit and escorted out of the church by ushers at the command of Pastor Bob. I've also heard the rumors about his extreme rage outburst when he discovered one of his kids was gay. I've been told he no longer acknowledges their existence, and when his wife (their mother) died, they were banned from attending her funeral.
THIS is not how Godly men and women behave. I've tried speaking with the church staff about my concerns, but I'm always blown off... Like Pastor Bob doesn't need to be accountable for his actions and behaviors.
Jesus said love your neighbor... Love the sinner and hate the sin. Pastor Bob hates the sinner and would prefer an old fashion stoning to loving-kindness and forgiveness.
When I come in on Sunday morning, if I see that Pastor Bob is going to preach, I turn back around and head down the road to Grace Valley. It's a shame too... I really love Pastor Randall's preaching, and the amazing worship.
If Pastor Bob were to step down (willingly or forcefully) and no longer preach at Remnant, I would stick around every Sunday... And my tithe wouldn't be split between two churches.
