I was here last night for the Strike City Ladies Night which was their first. There were several meet up groups at this event as well. Several sponsors who had display tables out.
Bowling one game was $5 per person with free bowling shoes
Free appetizers were served.
Drinks were half priced.
Cool place to hang out with friends for a night of bowling on a raining evening.
The drinks were not as great at the bowling lanes. We ordered Cosmopolitans which was served in a wine glass and 1/4 amount of the glass was the drink itself. Did not taste like a Cosmo. What happened to all the Martini glasses?Someone ordered a Martini and it was watered down with seltzer in a tall glass. Our waiter or server was a young kid who just turned 21.
As for the food, the Spinach dip was so-so. We left 3/4 of the food. The cheese fries were okay. Wonder if this is common place with bowling alleys. Great place to bowl but food and drinks not so great.
We bowled one game and then hung out around the bar area. The waitress gave menu and asked what we wanted to drink. One of the ladies asked for a drink on the menu and she said oh we do not have that anymore let me get you the correct menu. Then she disappeared for a while before coming back. We ordered cosmopolitans and this time they came out in Martini glasses. Saw actual Martini glasses being given to people in the area.
Felt out numbered with all the college kids around or high school versus the ladies for ladies night. Guess, this is a hangout for college students who love to bowl.
This was a fun place to visit for the first time, Nothing spectacular to write home about. This is more of a place to just bowl. Do not expect spectacular service. Waitress and waiters are all young and will place order and bring materials to the table.
