This was my 2nd time to Bardot. My husband and I are locals and we rarely like to visit the strip except for special occasions. Just walking into Aria is fun and finding Bardot is like a hidden treasure. Show up early and sip a cocktail at the awesome bar!
We got to sit at a booth and peek into the awesome kitchen. The server was adorable and she explained the menu and even answered my questions. We eat out often and are pretty adventurous and will try mostly anything.
Let's start with warm french bread that is toasty on the exterior and soft on the inside with house butter.... house butter? oh man that butter could be eaten buy the spoonful! I had to control myself.
My highlights...
We had the Steak tartare - it was sooo good and fresh.
Escargot - Beautifully presented wrapped in a fluffy pastry puff.
Duck wings... one word...delicious.
Roasted beet and goat cheese salad- Whenever I see a beet salad on a menu, I have to order it, I love beet salad. This was perfectly dressed and the goat cheese was to die for.
Ribeye Steak - Worth every frickin' penny. I always get worried that a chef is going to ruin a good steak that I pay good money for... but in this case it was a wast of time to worry... juicy, perfect and soooo much flavor!! Making my mouth water as I type this. The mashed potatoes were my favorite. I love mashed potatoes and I didn't realize how bad mine suck until I tried these.
Mac & Cheese-My husband had the Mac and Cheese. Holy cow!! How do they do this? I really wanted to take a photo, but we made a deal to keep our phones off at dinner. AND... It tased better than it looked and trust me it looks amazing!! I feel bad for the guy that has to prep that plate! Im sure you can find a photo of it somewhere. It probably has its own Instagram account. If not for any other reason... Go to Bardot and get your MAC& CHEESE on!!! FOR REAL
I was full... but hubby always wants dessert.
The Chocolate Macaron was .... Oh so macaron! Melt in your mouth worth every calorie, paired well with the hot and strong coffee.
We have lots of amazing places to eat here in LV, and its always fun to try something new but I won't passing up the chance to
return to Bardot. The server was telling us about brunch. We have family coming to town for the holidays and we are definitely doing the brunch next!!! We cant wait!
