Where to begin, we showed up to the hotel early and attempted to check in. We figured we would be told that we could store our bags but would have to wait for a room. Much to our surprise we were told of course we could check in. The woman at the front desk was kind and helpful. We asked her where we should go to shop before lunch and she broke out a map. She drew exactly where to go, what streets to turn down and directed us to where lunch was. Each person we spoke to from that point forward was the same way. They gave us great dinner recommendations and helped get us reservations. Each person broke out a map and guided us. Even when we had to take the subway they gave us a different map and made sure to put on the regular walking map where we were heading and where we would end up. It was phenomenal.
That was just the staff. The rooms were quite large for such an old city and the bathrooms were too. It was very clean with comfortable bedding. The fireplace was a nice touch. It was also very quiet.
I can not say enough about the staff and this hotel in general. Will definitely stay again :)
