We were married at the Bellgio in July 2010. Prior to our wedding night Bellagio was my absolute favorite hotel in Vegas. We also became engaged on the terrace overlooking the fountains. It only seemed appropriate to get married there as well. On our wedding night, while we were celebrating our reception in another suite, cleaning staff stole cash from my wallet. We had to have security in our room the night of the wedding. SO romantic. Writing up a report and such.
I wrote a letter after we came back from our honeymoon and talked about what a positive experience the wedding had been: how amazing our wedding planner (Helen) had been, how all of the staff at the salon and the restaurants had taken such care with the whole celebration. I talked about how many of their rooms had been booked with all of our family and friends staying in the hotel as well for the weekend. Not to mention the fact that we stayed in one of their nicest suites for our wedding night. And they NEVER wrote me back or acknowledged our trouble in any way. We were only given a $50 credit to our room upon checking out. They said this was the amount we "claimed" was stolen from my wallet.
I will never stay there again even though I did love that hotel and obviously have many fond memories of our wedding and engagement there. And I tell everyone I know not to stay there as well. Beware my friends! This is the only hotel that I have ever dealt with theft in the room. I truly thought Bellagio would have cared more. Their lack of response and customer service really showed in this situation however. That kind of attention does not deserve any more of our business.
2 stars only because the wedding really was beautiful and thoughtfully put together.
