I imagine this place hasn't changed much since it opened... and it shouldn't. The menu is limited but it has exactly what you came for chicken and a few options if you are getting a little crazy. We took the plunge and stood in line for a quick ten minutes. We split the half chicken dinner which was more than enough for two. The fries were crisp and had a good amount of salt. The slaw was fresh and had a pickle flavor that was a nice balance to the meal. Hush puppies were hot and had a light onion flavor. Plain white roll, perfect fit for the CHICKEN! Big white breast chicken that was hot and juicy. The chicken had a salty, crisp breading that really kept in the moisture during cooking. Add some hot sauce (5 cents a pack) and the chicken is a serious hit.
The neighborhood has clearly changed since this place has opened. This is the kind of place that needs all the love so it never has to change. Carry out only here like it should be.
