| - It's always nice exploring new spots off the strip when I'm visiting Vegas. So many times have I been stuck eating at a hotel out of convenience because no one else wanted to leave. I've wanted to come here for awhile despite my bad experiences with arepas at other spots. It's located north of the strip in what looks like sketchier area with
Arepa is like a sandwich, but the meat is sandwiched between 2 flatbreads made of maize dough. The corn bun was crispy on the edges and much softer in the center.
Arepas:
1) Reina Pepiada consists of chicken breast, avocado, mayo, and cilantro. I was expecting the chicken breast to be dry, but it was actually the opposite.
2) Wood Fire Beef: This was fantastic! I added on avocado, cheese, and egg, which made it even better. The small pieces of juicy, tender beef were so yummy.
The empanadas were also pretty good, but the winner is definitely the arepas.
Drinks:
Mango - Thick, sweet drink that was really mangoey.
Service: They got my order wrong and gave me pulled pork instead. They apologized and gave me an extra empanada for the inconvenience. SCORE!
