  • My first Yelp review! lol. While I haven't purchased a car from this dealership, here is my experience with Bell Honda's service center. I took my van in for a recall repair that I received in the mail. I also wanted my transmission fluid exchanged per the maintenance schedule as I am going to Disneyland in the near future. With a schedule in mind, I was asked about my timing belt. I didn't have that listed in my personal records as the vehicles 2nd owner. Brian was very helpful by contacting a dealership in California. Where he pulled up more records and found that the last time the belt was replaced, was also the first time. Back at 86k miles. Since I am at 161k miles, I was way overdue for a new timing belt. Had Brian not taken the time and effort to ask about my maintenance history as a new customer to their dealership, I could very well be stranded on my trip to Disneyland. At the same time, he was helpful in making sure other items were inspected and replaced using the same labor cost under the timing belt replacement. This of course is nothing new for any good shop to provide, but he also made sure they were competitive with non-dealer prices so I could do everything at one time. Which not only made sure I didn't spend more than I had to, but also that I didn't have to deal with more time without my van and going all over the place. Likely duplicating labor cost. And what was simply going to be a free recall job at a dealer I have never been too, turned out to really help me build up better personal records of the van as well as getting multiple services done at an excellent price all at once. Items that I was going to do over time anyway. But I didn't know when I was going to do the timing belt because I didn't know the last time it was done until this visit. Brian has made the experience at Bell Honda an excellent one. I was really taken care of at this dealership and highly recommend Bell Honda as well as taking the trouble to ask for Brian Appleton by name. Bell Honda is lucky to have such a trustworthy and honest man working for them. Brian will make sure you are taken care of. I was simply going to get my recall work and the transmission fluid exchange. But if Brian had not discovered how over due the timing belt was, I would not have even thought of it and that could have soon been a costly mistake. I also had my brake fluid and steering fluid exchanged due to the color of the fluid and the lack of data on the last time it was replaced, which is likely never, or at best when the last timing belt was done. I am taking the time to write some reviews because I am very impressed with Brian Appleton and the tech that worked on my van. I have been to other Honda Dealers and while I have always had a great experience at all of them, Brian and Jacob Murillo (the mechanic that worked on my van) really did make this Service Center stand out to me.
