| - Local here talking about the best cinematic venue in town. Yes, the best. I've been here several times. I've seen movies at other venues in the city including Summerlin and other parts of Henderson. This is the best the city has to offer bar none.
Buy your tickets online, not at the window if at all possible. Your seats are assigned so, no matter how late you arrive, you will always have that seat for that allotted time slot in that particular theater. If what you hope to see that day is the premier of a highly anticipated movie, you'll be wasting your time trying to get your ticket at the window. If that movie is not sold out, you usually end up with the seats way up front. Do not do that to yourself. Get your tickets early and online.
Parking allows easy access to the Galaxy. On days where a highly anticipated movie is premiering, get here early for parking and food procurement purposes.
Accommodations a bar along with the usual snack and fountain drink dispensary. Many screens to keep you occupied watching trailers and amenity information while you wait in line. If you really need to scratch that video game itch here, there's a small place to get off on that. Restrooms are at the front as well as near the actual theaters themselves.
Viewing the movie is always a treat with one big extra: huge reclining leather seats complete with swing away table and large drink holder all conveniently place where you can reach and manipulate at will. It always feels great. Nothing in all the theaters I've been to beats this.
Fair warning: The policy is strict here about cellphone or other electronic media device use. If you use it during the movie while in your seat, they can and will remove you from the theater and ask you to leave without refund. I've seen them do it. It's not always pleasant but they will use the necessary force to make you leave.
The only drawback really is this: No IMAX. Putting one in specifically for this theater is cost prohibitive. You'd have to lose those super comfy seats and replace the entire theater with the proper sound reinforcement, platforming, seats, yaddah to make it a proper IMAX experience or create an entirely customized experience to include everything IMAX has to offer added to the already awesome setup and that would put the price closer to $30+/ticket IMHO. Making money on this experience would be difficult in this town.
What's my bottom line? Everything you would expect and want a more from watching a movie in a great movie house. The only drawback really is no IMAX but that does not stop me from coming here. My actual rating is a solid 5.0 stars...
