  • We found a slab leak the week before our house was supposed to close. Called 2 reputable plumbing companies and received quotes of $1500 to $1700. Then our realtor remembered she had purchased a home warranty on the house that would pay $1000 toward any work. Because we were in a huge hurry we didn't do our due diligence and let them send Athena's to do the work without checking their reviews. They were quick. They were neat. They were cordial. And then they gave us the bill for $3900. They, after a lot of us "expressing our opinion", grudgingly knocked it down to $3200 due to the fact that their line locators never showed before the work was started. (It took quite an argument to convince them we shouldn't have to pay for something that wasn't done.) Our contractor came to check the work and almost had a heart attack when we told him what we paid. Buyer Beware! Btw - Athena's has no rating with the BBB and lots of negative reviews.
