| - Admittedly, I've only come into Grey Region when I've had some time to kill after shopping in One Million Comix (located directly across the street), and I have to say that One Million is far more superior in every way.
As far as comic books go, there's a wall of new releases and a large shelving unit for old issues. Their stock for new releases seems to be pretty decent; I've actually managed to pick up an issue or two after One Million Comix had already sold out. They also have a moderate collection of graphic novels, most of which seemed to be indie stuff. Nothing really unique, overall.
Their basement is the only real unique feature of this store. It's dirty, poorly lit, unorganized, neglected and full of very old toys, models and action figures. Most of the selection is sort of obscure. And when I say that it's unorganized, I really mean it. Most of the shelves are kind of crooked and positioned so close together that it doesn't make for very comfortable shopping. And it's filthy, dust everywhere. It made me feel like I was in some old, forgotten store room, which is a shame.
Finally, like the other reviewers mentioned, a good chunk of the main floor is dedicated to a no-frills gaming cafe. I guess this is where Grey Region gets a good chunk of its income from. I always see a couple people using the computers when I go in there. The computers, like the rest of the store, seem to be thrown together as an afterthought and it doesn't really look like a nice, relaxing and comfortable place to spend a couple hours gaming.
All-in-all, not a very memorable experience. Especially when One Million Comix is located right across the street and offers a far better selection of comics and graphic novels, with much better service.
