  • The only reason I am not giving Camelback Dermatology one star is that I used to go there quite often when I was younger and didn't really have any issues with them. Recenly, however, I have been assigned to their PA Jaime on my visits. On my most recent visit, I went it to have a cherry angioma removed from my shoulder because it had been bleeding. I was told that it was only cosmetic and there was nothing they could do for me unless I wanted to come back another day for a cosmetic procedure. After many ruined shirts from my shoulder bleeding profusely, I contacted them to see how this was considered a cosmetic procedure since I have to wear a bandage 24 hours a day to protect my clothes. I was told that they actually could have removed it the first time, but since they didn't, I could come in for a second appointment and they could charge me for a second time to remove what should have been removed the first time. My mom is a frequent patient of theirs as well due to skin cancer and has been told by Jaime that suspicious spots are fine, only to have them later removed as cancerous by Dr. Romine. I cannot continue to go to a dematology office where I cannot trust their professional judgement and the patient is held responsible for their poor judgement. Patients shouldn't have to make multiple trips to their office and be charged multiple times to get something done correctly. As if my experience with the PA wasn't bad enough, the woman checking me out of the office on my most recent visit didn't seem to know what was going on. When I was trying to pay my co pay, she kept getting confused thinking I was there for acne (when I have never been to their office for acne) and trying to schedule a second appointment for a follow up. I'm not sure what exactly there was to follow up on since they literally didn't do a single thing during that visit except tell me my bleeding arm was a cosmetic issue. I finally had to describe everything about my appointment for her to find the appropriate file.
