Y'know, it's a funny thing: as a man, nothing that makes you more careful when you pee like getting your house cleaned!
I'm about to rent out my home for AirBnB and I needed to give my place a more through once over than I'm apt to do alone.
I got a pretty immediate appointment, and when the very kind and professional gentleman came to my door (almost 10 min. EARLY) he was ready to go.
I felt he was really great at the general overview and certainly got down to brass tacks on the more heavy handed needs of my place (cleaning grout, hard water deposits and the tracks in my shower door), but I noticed upon further inspection that he missed some smaller things. I don't think I would've noticed at all were it not for the fact that I will have people coming in to my home and they probably would notice those very things that I wouldn't really care about if it were just me.
(To be fair, there was a bit of a time crunch, and as for getting the broad strokes accomplished in that time frame, I'm not dissatisfied).
I did appreciate that in lieu of a meticulous eye he possessed the willingness, focus and diligence that one needs for a job like this.
The one thing that I learned from this experience is that trial and error is a necessary part of building a relationship with a housekeeping service. Hopefully your experience of that will be as painless as mine was.
