  • I will keep a lengthy problem brief, but this is not a shop to which I will return. I was charged approx $900 (a standard book rate for this) for repair of an oil leak that took them less than 3 hours, yet a leak persisted, requiring repeated trips back to them. I left each time with the feeling that they only wanted to avoid any responsibility for an inadequate repair and that they only wished for me to accept it and leave, at one point even being told that my 'personality' was the problem. At one point I paid another shop to look at the repair and they told me it was not up to the standards they set for themselves. Eventually Highline checked the torque on the bolts and told me one was not tightened to specifications and this appeared to solve the leak. After a series of quite unpleasant communications with the owner, he did make a minimal effort to make amends and said that there were some lessons they learned. (only because of this do I raise my rating to 2 stars) I sincerely hope so, but would urge others to be cautious. I have never before left a review anywhere for a service received, but felt compelled to do so here.
