Our first visit was on Thursday night at 6 PM; light crowd. Our waiter (Vincent) was appropriately attentive, but not intrusive. We requested a leisurely service pace and had a very nice evening.
My benchmark for an authentic IT restaurant is a basic Lasagna, and theirs was right on! Multiple thin pasta layers - perfectly cooked. Wife ordered Gnocchi - their Thursday special - 7 large shrimp cooked correctly, and nicely presented. We started with stuffed mushrooms which were outrageously good especially when paired with their house Chianti. Extra sauce on the plate was completely finished with bread! Yum!
Our only negative was when we overheard the waiter for the next table asking his guests ..."did you save enough room for dessert?" Really? What did he expect to hear??? How ridiculous! Kinda like that tired watier expression - "are you still working on it".
We will definitely go back with hope that our very pleasant "slow night" experience will be repeated rather than having the experience of "SOME" other reviewers.
