| - Free and fabulous! Doesn't matter if you know anything about the remarkable Carroll Shelby...or whether you're a race fan...if you can appreciate something shiny with four wheels, you will enjoy a visit to the Shelby Heritage Center. I was here a little after they first established the Center, but hubby had not visited before. When I surprised him and our guest, they (as "car guys") were thrilled!
Even though the vehicles are cordoned off, you can still get up close and personal to view and take photos of the collection of sleek, powerful autos. Some are vintage with quite the history and others are fairly recent model years. All gorgeous. Several were even available for purchase. (My thoughts were...if I have to ask how much it is, does that mean I can't afford it? I can still dream.)
Tip #1: This Center is close to the Town Square complex. Guys, if you don't want to go shopping with the ladies, just drop them off and head over here. They can always text you to come pick them up when they're done!
Tip #2: If you want a free guided tour, check their website for information about tour times. There are no tours on Sundays, which is the day we visited.
Tip #3: The Shelby Store is up front, as you enter, but save that for when your stroll down auto memory lane is done.
