| - This towing company left me stranded in a parking lot after waiting 3.5 hours for a tow. Even if your insurance company matches you with them, INSIST they find you someone else.
Long story: my auto insurance company, State Farm, arranged for Charity to come and rescue me from a parking lot where I was stranded. The first time (!) the driver came by, he slowed down, took a look at me, then drove away! I immediately called the number I was provided and said hey, you drove by me. The driver said no, I'm not stopping right now. I asked why and he lashed back, accusing me of trying to get him fired! I called the office number, spoke to the assistant manager and she said she would send him right back.
Long story short, I waited in the parking lot for THREE AND A HALF HOURS before my car was towed away... yes, the car, but not me! The tow truck driver refused to give me a ride to my dealership. He even refused to take my keys - I had to put them in the glove box and call the dealership to let them know.
I was able to get a ride from a co-worker, fortunately. I then called the tow company & asked them to come get me so I could get up to the dealership & get my loaner. They kept me on hold for 45 minutes & said nope, they weren't going to come and get me, because "they don't do that." 7 hours later and I'm still stranded at work.
Obviously Charity doesn't care about its piss poor reviews. But State Farm, you at least should be listening. Pick a different tow company before you lose customers based solely on the horrible roadside "service" experiences you are choosing for them.
