  • I deducted one star because the breads in the bread basket were old and cold. I don't mean not hot, I mean COLD as in just came out of the fridge/defrosted from the freezer. Such a bummer, because that is the first impression of a steakhouse. The bread sticks were good though. Mark up on wine was quite high, but our server Chae was wonderful. I deducted another star because I was shocked to learn that a restaurant located in Circus Circus does not have non glass cups, or at least a lid to put on the glass cup for kids. The lack of a kids' menu (while strange for a restaurant located feet away from juggling clowns) we were okay with--I get it, you don't want this turning into a Rainforest Cafe. But come on folks, this is just a plain safety and liability issue. A kid could hurt himself if the glass shatters (which will happen if it's dropped). Not to mention, the pain of dealing with a dumped drink over the kids clothes (glad did not happen to us) especially since you'll no doubt get a bunch of diners who are tourists and are limited to what they can pack in a diaper bag for a dinner. You have to expect kids will dine there because your are located in CIRCUS CIRCUS. Know your audience and provide parents with a more pleasant experience. I would not even take my kids to the steakhouses at fancy hotels. We split a chicken entree for our kids. Thankfully, we were not charged the $17 split fee (I would have lost my mind if they had done that for a 2 and 5 year old). Look, this restaurant is free to have any rule it wants. What made this hard to swallow is the fact that they don't seem to enforce other rules. Their sign clearly says "no tank tops". Yet, a man at the table next to us was wearing a tank top. So someone dining at your steakhouse in a wife beater in violation of your rules is okay, but a kids' cup is beneath you?????!!!!! Interesting that another Yelper made a comment about people dining there in tank tops, and in violation of the restaurant's rules. Normally I would deduct another star because the beef is not prime, but they charge prime prices. Here, they dry age non-prime beef. However, I did not deduct the other star because the food was good, and our server was great.
