At the end of December I was looking for a new nice restaurant to celebrate my husband's BD. I was getting upset & frustrated as we visited many supposedly high-end restaurants in this area, and we were not impressed. Then I found a couple of reviews for Noca and we decided to try it. I'm so glad we did!
My first impression was a little bit negative as I'm not used to seeing nice restaurants located next to huge food stores & nail salons. The interior was also not that exciting: it is a modern looking room with lots of big mirrors on the wall & simple furniture. It's not bad, but it doesn't have any wow factor, so if you're trying to impress your date, until food is served, you won't hear wow from her/him :)
My Foie Gras Torchon for an appetizer was amazing - highly recommended for foie gras lovers. My husband's Big Eye Tuna Tartar was also very good, but his main course - Duo of Berkshire Pork was absolutely outstanding! Next time I'm at Noca, I will definitely order it since my choice - Prime Beef Rib Eye was nothing special. Actually, it was more on a well-done side instead of requested medium & probably that's why I didn't like it.
Raspberry cotton candy before our dessert was a big hit. Deconstructed Cheesecake + different gelatos were also very creative and tasty. Our total for 3 people was $320 inc tip (we ordered 1 $60 bottle of wine)
I cannot wait to go back there!
P.S. The service was very friendly & attentive.
