| - Don't you HATE having a car problem and no one you can trust to make your day even a little bit better?
Anyone reading my reviews knows that I have pretty much only given reviews to those who deserve 5 Stars. Here's another one!
I've not an auto mechanic but I was a maintenance test pilot and frequently worked on my aircraft before test flights. So I have a bit of mechanical aptitude, and do lots of my own work; brakes & rotors, brake fluids, Amsoil oil changes (they're he best I've found), air filters, windshield wipers, struts, control arms, radiators, super chargers, alternators etc... anything that is bolt on and off. I feel a little background adds credibility but...
Enough already about me!
I found Rory's Airpark Autotek by chance. I had to have some body work done on a vehicle and noticed Rory's behind it. I went in and asked a few questions and was instantly sure that I was going to use them next issue.
My neighbor. She had taken a 4 year old Nissan to the Frank Lloyd Wright dealer. They told her that she needed a new rear suspension bushing for about $2000 and then proceeded to tell her all the things that were wrong, which added up to over $5000! She was understandably a bit shaken. She drove home slowly thinking the car might stop any moment. A car with 40,000 miles!
Next, a salesman at the dealership calls while she was driving home. He suggested that she come back immediately and trade the old (4 years old?) car in for a new one. What does the service manager do? Go grab a salesman immediately to give the information to call a lady who just got slammed with the worst car news? Hmmmm?
I told her to come over and bring the car and list of discrepancies. I spent a half hour checking all they said was wrong. I found all to be sound. To make sure and reassure her (she was still shaken) I suggested we go to Rory's (yes this review is about Rory's). She agreed.
I called Rory's and we dropped it off an hour later. I drove her home. Rory called her a couple hours later and said; "There is nothing that needs to be done." So she went and picked it up. No charge!
I've since taken several vehicles to Rory's and they are always easy going and laid back, prompt and courteous. Pricing has always been very reasonable.
I doubt anyone I recommend Rory's to will be disappointed. That is why I recommend them. Fair! Honest! Capable! Hard Working!
