  • I would recommend Dr. Koncal's team for your dog or cat, they diagnosed problems quickly, problems that other vets struggled to identify. They always try to squeeze you in when your pet is sick. If you are looking for a vet with a people personality, his associate is more outgoing and comforting, but all in all Dr. Koncal has your pet's welfare foremost. He suggested I consider a lung surgery through Case Western for my 11 yr old shepherd, I opted not to, and I did not feel judged. He treated a infected eye socket for a shelter dog quickly and inexpensively, but warned me of potential costs if the antibiotic failed and counseled me on how to approach the shelter who released a pet with an internal infection and a tube of cream. He seems more distant and less verbal in the last few years, but I go to him for the animals, not for my ego. Anne Bender has treated a few of my pets and I trust her as much as Koncal.
