  • Do not go to this office. I agree, wholeheartedly with Mike D's review that this is the "used car dealership of dentistry." I've given them multiple chances to redeem themselves, mainly because they owe us money, and they continue to come up short. They overcharged my husband's credit card, and then could not manage to understand that they owed us money. Every person we talked to had a different answer and there was never any follow up. After fighting with so many employees about a credit we were clearly owed, we had them agree to finished work that was scheduled and using the credit to cover the cost. Sadly, each visit, we had to fight again and again and again. I took my daughter to the pediatric side, and although the dentist was very nice and gentle, they never mentioned that nothing would be covered by my insurance because they bill as a specialist. Even after I questioned the charges, no info was given. It wasn't until I called my insurance company and they told me they never cover any specialist visits, that I finally understood. So I called and complained. And they recommended we see the regular dentist so we could use the rest of the credit on our account. Today was the last straw. My 7 year old has always handled the dentist with ease. And now I fear she will be forever scarred. First, they took her for xrays and said "I'll come get you when we're done with xrays and headed to a room." So I waited, and waited, and then I asked why xrays were taking so long, only to find out that, not only was she in a room without me, Dr jarvis had already done her "exam" and she was all set!!! Seriously?! All set and crying in the exam room. I was pissed and made that very clear, so the office manager came in to see me to tell me that she had already spoken to the dental asst and told her that she should have come to get me and she was going to have the dentist come back in to talk to me. He literally walked in, introduced himself, and said "This is Erica, she's going to go over everything with you" and then left. My daughter had 5 little cavities and they wanted to do sealants on her adult molars. (in retrospect, pretty sure the sealants have been done before) So I asked to do the 2 left fillings today, and she went HYSTERICAL! Like I have never seen her before. All out panic. And then Erica comes back to tell me that I won't be allowed to be in the room for the fillings. WHAT?!? While my child is hysterically crying she thinks I'll just leave? I told her that we wouldn't have the work done there then because that is unacceptable, and asked for a copy of the xrays. Should have left then. But they moved us to a pediatric room with a TV and brought a chair for me, so we stayed. They put the nitrous on her and she slowly calmed down. Then we waited for almost an hour. She was perfectly calm for the injections. All was fine until he started. They put this huge thing in her mouth to keep it open, and she stayed calm for a little bit but then she lost it! He was trying to finish the fillings and he went from encouraging her to basically telling her to suck it up. I was in the doorway and pushed behind him to kneel on the floor and hold her hand. She was crying and crying and I was trying to calm her down. I asked if she was hurting and HE said "no, doesn't hurt at all, shes just sick of us being in her mouth." So I calmly informed him that she had her entire root canal and didn't once act like this. He said it was because she was sedated before and I swear to god I almost smacked him, but instead I informed that no, she had nothing more than the nitrous just like today. He was such a jerk about it. So I was trying to calm her down and said she was almost done...and in a sing song voice (as if to mock me) he said "we still have sealants." It is a miracle that I didn't use his little drill to give him a vasectomy on the spot. He finished, bolted out of the room and never came back to check on her. We did not do the sealants. And we did not schedule a follow up. He did just call to follow up...I was pretty clear that it was a horribly traumatic experience and we will never be back. I suggest you never go there too.
