I live close by and Lick It is on my way to work, so it is very dangerous indeed. They're open early (8am on the weekdays!) so I could always pop in for a couple of scoops for breakfast. They're open late as well, and I often see them serving even after their official closing time of midnight.
Their gelato is the best I've ever had, hands down. Full of flavour and the perfect consistency for gelato and sorbetto. They change up the flavours often, and I believe they just got a new cooler which allows them to have 16 flavours at a time. My favourites so far are pistachio and chocolate hazelnut. They are dog-friendly and offer a doggie gelato (peanut butter and banana) which is also good for humans!
Remember to get a card before you leave. Once you get 5 stamps, you get a free gelato!
The service is always friendly. The owners are Harbourfront locals and regulars, and seem genuinely interested in building a tight-knit Harbourfront community. Does Lick It mark the beginning of specialty food shops and the end of chain restaurants along Queens Quay? I sincerely hope so.
