| - I've been here for a little over a year and can't wait for my lease to be up! This is a "drug free environment" but it constantly reeks of marijuana and there are a few residents that are clearly on stronger drugs than that. The amenities are nice- multiple pools that are always clean, a 24 hour gym, tennis and basketball court, indoor racquetball court, free DVD library, washers and dryers in the units, and a maintenance team that fixes issues quickly. The first problem I have is that I know how quick maintenance is because something is ALWAYS falling apart. The lining on my tub comes up, I've had mold before, other apartments obviously have issues because the people above me have had 3 leaks at no fault of their own that came down and ruined my walls and ceiling. Another problem I have is that they have started cutting down ALL the trees. Part of what made me like the complex was the abundance of trees, however they've changed management and all the trees have since been cut down. Another serious issue is the frequency the police are here for one reason or another. My biggest issue is with the leasing staff. I was parked in a handicap parking spot with my placard in plain sight and the nighttime security officer had my car towed for illegally parking in a handicap spot... Even though it's required by law, this was not reported to the police station and had it not been for my neighbor seeing my car being towed I would have reported my car as being stolen; even the leasing office had no record of it being towed. I went through a simply HORRIBLE ordeal to get it back (the tow company they use are complete and total assholes, just read their reviews) and when I came into the office to ask for a reimbursement on the towing costs not only was I ganged up on by 3 of the leasing agents (1 of which is ALWAYS rude), before they actually called me in to talk to me they were sitting in their private office talking about it and LAUGHING as though I weren't there. We debated in the office for a few minutes before I finally said I would just take them to court, at which point their attitudes slightly shifted. Even then, I still left because I was on the verge of tears and just fed up. Also worth mentioning: we get billed separately for water so every month we owe a different amount for rent. The past two months they forgot to add the charges for taxes on the bill, so even though I payed my rent in full they're still saying everyone has money owed on their accounts. I feel we shouldn't have to pay this money owed because had the girls been doing their jobs instead of gossiping, we would have been billed correctly and wouldn't owe anything more. And this whole issue with not billing us correctly, this isn't the first time it's happened. Not everyone in the office is rude (there are two girls that are simply sweet as pie), but after this whole fiasco I would NEVER recommend Northern Greens to somebody unless their are some changes made to the leasing staff.
