  • Okay, so this place is pretty rad in terms of merchandise. You can find some buried treasures here if you're in the mood to hunt. But, be prepared to hunt. It's a little nuts at this thrift store, however and it can be intimidating. Here's what you need to know... 1.There are no returns so shop carefully and make sure you inspect your items for flaws before you buy. 3. No price. No sale. It's the store's way of making sure no one is poppin' tags I'd assume. It's a bummer because they staple the price tags onto the clothes and other items so many just fall off on their own. If you find something without a tag, they won't sell it to you. It will go back into the inventory and put out the next day with a new tag. 4. Getting to the store and parking can be a nightmare. The lot is kind of small and during busy times, it fills up completely. There's an overflow parking lot just east on Alma School, but it's tough to get to from the original parking lot because the Light Rail construction won't allow you to go east easily. In fact, the only way to get to the store at all is if you're traveling west on Alma School. It's usually backed up and crazy because it's one lane due to Light Rail construction so just be patient. Like real patient. 5. Boutique items must be purchased at the boutique counter. It's kind of a strange concept because there is a store within a store. The boutique is the nicer stuff in theory. Oddly enough, I've never purchased anything at the boutique. Most of the good stuff I find is in the store. Just be aware that if something is labeled 'boutique', you must purchase it at the jewelry counter in the back and not at the front registers. 6. There are no weekly sales like 50 percent off day or $1 day. The everyday prices are pretty decent and items do go on sale based on time spent in the store. Even w/o a weekly sale, I find myself visiting this store pretty often because they have a lot of cool stuff. 7. No dressing rooms and no real mirror. This is odd because you can't return things. You also can't try them on or really see yourself accurately. There's a 'mirror' near the women's clothing section but it's not the best representation of what you'll actually look like in said item. Think funhouse mirror or one of those rest stop bathroom mirrors that looks more like tin foil. 8. The aisles and entire store are cramped. It's just too much stuff for too tight of a space. Also, when the workers are combing the racks, it's impossible to get through them. The put a big hanger stand in the middle and make it nearly impossible for you to shop that aisle, especially if you have a cart. They also don't care about your inconvenience. Just being real. LOL So, let's review. It's cramped. Usually overcrowded. It's hard to get to and you can't try on anything. Still game? Okay, you're hard core and you'll probably be rewarded for that with some pretty sweet finds. Happy hunting!
