King West Fitness was running a promotion a little while ago:
1 month of unlimited gym access and classes for $2.
No strings attached.
Of course, my husband and I made use of that offer.
The gym is nice.
It has a large open floor that is roughly divided into 3 areas for cardio equipment, for stretching or to swing kettle bells and finally for the machines used in the strength exercises.
Additionally, there are 2 rooms for the different classes KWF offers.
Those are free to use by anybody when no classes are running.
I didn't try any of the classes, but just did my own fitness routine during my time at KWF.
It was fine.
I usually didn't have to wait for any machines as the gym never seemed to get too busy.
The staff was friendly and helpful with any questions.
Nobody tried to pressure me or my husband into buying personal trainer sessions or a further membership once our month was up.
I have only 2 comments:
1. It would have been nice to have some kind of child minding option.
2. The Jukari class was REALLY loud.
When I was running on the treadmill on the other side of the hall with my iPod on, I was still able to hear their music and the trainer's yelled commands.
How about turning the music down? Maybe then the yelling wouldn't be necessary.. ;)
