| - Having only been open for several months, my family and I are already big fans of Downtown Summerlin's selection of stores and restaurants. Built with pedestrians in mind, there's limited street parking within the heart of the shopping area, but an incredible amount of lot and parking garage spots that ring the complex.
It's become a regular place for my wife and I to go for dinner or just to stroll. Located immediately to the south of Red Rock Casino, the entire place is very accessible from the 215 (exit at Sahara Ave.) or if you're coming west from the center of the valley, you can easily approach on Sahara Ave. or Charleston Blvd.
Some of our favorite places to consider: The Toy Box, Wolfgang Pucks, the Apple Store, Pieology Pizzeria, Pandora Jewelry and the Regal Downtown Summerlin 5 (recliner seating and a full bar!). With all the choices of shopping, dining, and even an events calendar (for things like the farmer's market, music events, etc.), it's best to check their website for a full listing of everything (http://www.downtownsummerlin.com), head over and walk around.
One recommendation for Downtown Summerlin: because the cell coverage for this part of the valley can be so sketchy, consider setting up public WiFi for the entire DTS campus. Would be awesome!
