  • I am currently in the midst of a complete kitchen renovation and selected Quality Granite Outlet for my countertops. Overall, we had a very nice experience with this company. I found my LG Viatera countertops while shopping at a local competitor's showroom (Choice Granite and Marble) and was a bit underwhelmed by the customer service that we received while there. I contacted the following competitors, asking them for quotes for a particular color: Choice Granite and Marble Armina Stone Apex Surfaces Lexmar USA Quality Granite Outlet Home Depot The first three shops - Choice, Armina, and Apex - gave me very expensive quotes, ranging from $6500-7500. Lexmar USA gave me the least pricey quote but was the only retailer that provided me with not just one but actually THREE incorrect quotes, though I requested corrections each time. Home Depot was confused whether they even carried the product (seriously?!) and never even called me back. Quality Granite Outlet seemed like a wise choice based on an affordable quote (under $6000) and very accurate and prompt customer service. Plus, I soon heard a personal recommendation for the shop, which sealed the deal in my mind. I worked directly with Joey, who was very accessible and easy to work with. They didn't carry a sample of the LG Viatera product that I was interested in purchasing, and she quickly obtained a sample within 24 hours to have available for me when I visited the office. I negotiated a couple hundred dollars off my original estimate using Lexmar's slightly less expensive quote. Once we settled on the price, we quickly scheduled the template and installation appointments. The road became a bit less smooth during the template process. Our appointment was scheduled for 9am, but the doorbell rang promptly at 8:00am. My husband and I were sound asleep when the man arrived, and my plan for a relaxing morning off work was jarred by his early arrival. The appointment took a very long time as our kitchen is in the midst of its second renovation and the walls are quite uneven (which our contractor had already told us). Most appointments apparently take less than an hour, but ours took nearly an hour and a half. Installation was scheduled for exactly one week later, but apparently, the product was not delivered on time which pushed fabrication and installation back another five days. This timeline change did unfortunately delay our contractor a bit. During the template process, I was told that the countertop would have one seam, but unfortunately, we found out later during fabrication that the quartz would need two seams. We were disappointed, but once again, our wonky walls came to bite us as they were the reason that the additional seam was needed. However, I did appreciate that Joey contacted me during fabrication and stopped the project until I OK'ed the change. My husband was prepared early on installation day. Our appointment was scheduled for 8:30am, and he laughingly texted me at 7:50am saying that the guys had just arrived. The two hiccups installation day were that a rollout filler piece of cabinetry was accidentally glued to the countertops - thankfully my husband realized this had happened and quickly cleaned off the cabinet before the glue had the chance to dry - and that one of the pieces of countertop had to be re-cut and the installers had to return mid-afternoon for installation. A morning project quickly turned into an entire day off work project. Though we had a couple bumps in the road, I would still recommend Quality Granite Outlet and definitely believe that they were the right company for our job. As I have learned throughout my kitchen renovation, communication is key, and I think Quality Granite Outlet knows how to communicate with customers effective and efficiently.
