  • This is in response to Summer W. - property manager: There were two room mate style bedrooms available for lease: 1) to move in the month of July and 2) to move in the month of June. My room mates and I wanted to move in the July unit because our previous lease was ending that same month. Now we had 48 hours to respond and we came back the very next day to agree to lease with the July unit after touring. However, another leasing agent told us that unit was already reserved and that our only option for a room mate style unit was to take the June unit. The leasing agent who brought us on a tour the day before was not working so we dealt with someone else. We wanted to move in July - why? Because our previous apartment complex lease ended that month. Therefore, we could not wait any longer than July for another 2 BR room mate style unit or else we'd be homeless. Keep in mind that we were specific with both of your leasing agents. We were looking for a room mate style unit that is available for move in on the month of July. Sadly, it was given away by the next day. We were just given the option to move in June (within the next week) or pay extra additional charges to extend our move-in date PER DAY. So you could understand the stress and pressure we felt when setting our mind on leasing with the unit and move in date we were told during the tour and being notified that was no longer an option. This unit was convenient and affordable for us but we had to settle for another unit that was $200 more. There was no confusion, every leasing agent we spoke to knew what unit we were interested in and I strongly felt that knowing that there were two interested parties interested in the same unit there should have been a way where you accommodated the other party. This means that as my room mates and I could no longer reserve the unit, we should not have resorted into moving in within a week or had a choice to pay extra PER DAY until our desired move in date in July. You guys have us 48 hours to think about leasing with Summer Winds and we came back 24 hours later! Like I said not all staff members were rude. In response to the property manager's message, their staff was only nice when their manager was around or in sight. If it was just a girl by herself at the front desk, she would not have the welcoming vibe as she would if she was supervised by a viewable manager in the back office. Also, I never said all Ovation properties were bad. I've said in my last review that I will not let my experience at Summer Winds generalize the other sister properties. Thank you.
